Sidney Pentecostal Church

20/20 vision is a term used to express normal vision acuity (the clarity or sharpness of vision) measured at a distance of twenty feet. If you have 20/20 vision, you can see clearly at twenty feet, and this guideline has become the standard for defining what should be seen at that distance.

Having 20/20 vision has many advantages including:

  • Helps you clearly see what is directly in front of you.
  • Enables you to see both opportunities and dangers before you so you can make good judgment calls on where to go and how to get there.
  • Allows you to enjoy the world around you.

In the year 2020, The Lifeway Pentecostals of Sidney wants to have a clearer spiritual vision. While there are many pitfalls in life, with 20/20 spiritual vision, we have the capability to navigate along life’s road.

By focusing on prayer, Bible reading, and fasting, we will fine-tune our focus in order to see more clearly as we follow the Lord. We don’t want these practices to become “tasks” to mark off our to-do list. Instead, we know that by focusing on spiritual disciples, our walk with God will be more focused.

This will allow us the clarity in our vision that is needed to:

  • Live an overcoming life.
  • Grow even closer to God and develop a more meaningful relationship with Him.
  • Be a light in this dark world.

Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest
Matthew 9:37-38

Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest
John 4:35

Jesus made it very clear that laborers are needed in the harvest fields. In 2020, we want to see people as Jesus sees them – souls that He died for and loves beyond measure. Let’s bind together in 2020 to have a clearer focus on Jesus and on the souls that need Him.
